Menarai Watch Follows Threat

MONUMENT PLAZA, CORUSCANT – An anonymous tip warning of a Separatist attack against Monument Plaza has forced the closing of the recreational area and increased security around the Menarai historic site. An untraceable com-call warned that a droid-delivered bomb would target the ancient mountain outcropping. In response, local security evacuated the plaza, banned all droids from the area, and placed armed guards around the rock. Doing so displaced a small group of meditative religious followers who have been “protecting” the rock for generations. They have been wailing their prayers loudly since being forcibly removed from the Plaza. “It’s just a precaution,” said Plaza Director Shelbin Dang. “We want to make sure everything’s safe here. We expect to be open again by next week.”
