The Separatist probe droid was manufactured by Arakyd Industries. It came in a variety of sizes. These droids were roughly the size of a Human torso and consisted of a central body with a number of small limbs hanging from the underside.

The Viper probe droid, commonly referred to as the Imperial probe droid, was a model of probe droid manufactured by Arakyd Industries that was used by the Galactic Empire and, later, the New Republic, for deep space exploration and reconnaissance.
