Background: A Mandalorian castle was located atop a lush hill by the seaside on the Outer Rim Territories planet Kalevala. The castle featured a small, heptagon-shaped landing platform. Those visiting the castle would be greeted by a large main tower containing the throne room which was adorned with the flags of the Mandalorian House Kryze along its hallways. The throne room consisted of a throne next to two large vases and a mural besides the throne depicting Mandalorians in battle. By the New Republic era, an EV-series supervisor droid with the symbol of the Ka’rta embedded into its chest was present at the landing platform to supervise and monitor any ships landing at the platform. During the New Republic era, the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and the foundling Grogu visited the castle where they met with Lady Bo-Katan Kryze. After talking to Kryze and finding out the location of the Mines of Mandalore on the Outer Rim planet Mandalore, Djarin left the castle in his quest to redeem himself in the eyes of the Children of the Watch by bathing in the Living waters of Mandalore.
The castle was attacked by Imperial TIE Bombers and heavily damaged during the time of the New Republic.
