Background: During the Galactic Civil War, Bandwin Cor held the position of Colonel in the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Prior to Operation Buckler, Cor provided an official report to General Jan Dodonna concerning the potential use of X-wing starfighters as the backbone of Alliance Starfighter Command. In the report, Cor mentioned that General Antoc Merrick and Commander Garven Dreis were in agreement and also highlighted the advantages of having the X-wing as the primary starfighter for Starfighter Command. Toward the end of the report, Cor confirmed that additional materials would be provided to persuade the accountants. Notably, Cor’s report was later included in The Rebel Files.

When Senator Mon Mothma sought refuge on Dantooine with the assistance of the Spectres and Gold Squadron during Operation Handoff, she compiled a report that disclosed the names of numerous members of Alliance High Command, including Cor. This report was later included in The Rebel Files. After the establishment of Base One on Yavin 4 and the Vulpter data raid, Cor created a schedule for flight patrols to monitor the area around Yavin and the Gordian Trace Relays. General Merrick authored a report on the UT-60D U-wing starfighter/support craft, where he mentioned that both Cor and General Dodonna had approved his assessment. Both reports were added to The Rebel Files.

Despite being the Starfighter Command’s head, Merrick entrusted Colonel Cor with the responsibility of making day-to-day decisions. Cor collaborated with General Jan Dodonna to ensure the optimal utilization of starfighter resources in the Gordian Reach, which included Yavin. During the initial stages of the rebellion, Cor had the authority to assign demerits to pilots for violations, such as an untidy ready room in Base One.

Following the destruction of the Eadu Flight Station, the Alliance High Command convened to discuss the newly-confirmed superweapon, the Death Star. Cor was present at the meeting where Jyn Erso and Admiral Raddus advocated for a mission to attack the Scarif vault to retrieve the Death Star plans. Despite their efforts, the high command faced significant opposition, and the plan was ultimately not approved. However, after the meeting concluded, Erso took matters into her own hands and led a strike team to attack the Scarif vault. Raddus later joined the mission with a large portion of the Alliance Fleet. Although successful, the mission resulted in the tragic loss of Erso, Raddus, Merrick, and others.

In the war room of Base One during the Battle of Yavin, Cor oversaw the attack on the Death Star alongside General Dodonna, General Vanden Willard, Princess Leia Organa, and other officials. Cor’s announcement of Red Squadron and Gold Squadron approaching the Death Star’s visual range was meticulously documented in a transcript of the war room conversations and prominently displayed in The Rebel Files. Additionally, Lieutenant Wedge Antilles reported a flight undertaken by Snoop 2, a Patrol X-wing, to Colonel Cor of Yavin’s perimeter during the evacuation of Yavin 4, which was also included in The Rebel Files.

General Cor played a crucial role in training numerous rebel pilots for the Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. He was eventually promoted to the rank of general and attended a meeting at the Mako-Ta Space Docks with Mothma, where the Alliance’s plan to acquire more Mon Calamari Star Cruisers was discussed. Cor stood beside Generals Davits Draven and Jan Dodonna as Organa presented her strategy to incite mutiny in Mon Cala’s merchant fleet. Mothma approved the plan, and shortly after, Organa succeeded in acquiring many cruisers for the Alliance. These cruisers were fitted for battle with Shu-Torun technology. However, their hyperdrives failed to respond as their new fleet attempted to scatter during the celebratory party held to commemorate their success. It was later revealed that their queen, Trios, had sabotaged the Shu-Torun technology. The situation worsened when Darth Vader’s Death Squadron arrived and began attacking the cruisers, starting with the flagship Yavin’s Hope, commanded by General Vanden Willard.

Organa and Cor led a strike team to board Trios’ ship in order to prevent it from escaping. They engaged in a gunfight with Trios’ soldiers, and Organa almost got hit by a shot, but Cor pulled her back. Organa insisted that everyone was too valuable to lose, and they managed to defeat Trios’ soldiers and make it to the bridge. There, they discovered that if they flew something at the cruiser’s hanger doors, they could free the starfighters from their entrapment. Cor volunteered to take a shuttle and flew it through the fighting toward the cruisers. However, his ship exploded into a fireball after TIE fighters intercepted him and he couldn’t evade them. Draven and Organa continued to search the ship’s database for a way to get the cruisers moving again. Organa attempted to catch Trios but failed, and the gunfight eventually drew to a close.
