Background: A violent humanoid feline species from the distant corners of the Outer Rim, Zygerrians are known for their history of piracy and war. As a species that earns its fame through slavery, piracy, and violence, Zygerrians are feared in spaceports throughout the galaxy. They built a powerful empire by selling their slaves, until the Jedi of the Galactic Republic went to war with them and outlawed it. The Zygerrians attempted to openly revive their slave trade when they allied with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. They were ruled by a monarchy, who was served by the Prime Minister and the Zygerrian royal guard. They patrolled on the backs of flying brezaks and brandished electro-whips to control their slaves.

Raised in a culture where weakness can mean death or enslavement, unpredictable image to deter others from challenging their dominance. Those who do must contend with the Zygerrians’ natural cambat prowess, since Zygerrians are excellent fighters with or without weapons.

Zygerrian society is built on the principle that strength leads to authority, and for Zygerrians, strength can mean many thingsβ€”physical strength, and also strength of will, of conviction, and of bravery. Aggressive and violent, they are strongβ€”willed and back down from a confrontation only when they clearly cannot win. Zygerrians are difficult to defeat in any arena because their physical resilience is matched by their indomitable spirit. Enemies of the Zygerrians quickly learn that you cannot make Zygerrians flinch. They would sooner die than bend to the desires of others.
