Game Notes: A sky ring requires a Starfighter Piloting (Difficult) roll to navigate successfully.
Background: Sky rings were navigational markers used in racing to denote a course. At the Colossus, racers had to fly through all of a course’s sky rings to complete a race, and the first through all of the rings was the victor. A similar technology called “Eyes” was also used in The Gauntlet race on Corellia and in the Dragonfire Circuit on Coruscant. The fourth stage of the Platform Classic, where racers glided down from the atmosphere’s edge, began with a ring designed to shut racers’ engines off and ended with a ring that would switch them back on.
