Energy Resistance: Weequays have developed tough, leathery skin that allows them to better endure the harsh conditions of their homeworld, Sriluur, while also granting some measure of natural resistance to blaster-fire. Weequays gain a +2 modifier to Strength to resist energy damage, including the effects of severe weather and blaster weaponry.
Pheromone Communication: Weequays of the same clan are capable of communicating with one another by emitting complex pheromones. This form of communication is as complex and clear to them as speech is to other species. Weequay can communicate silently in this way, within a maximum range of 30m. Force users are able to sense Weequay pheromones and any species with strong olfactory abilities can detect them by scent, however, this does not allow them to understand what is being communicated.

Background: Piit, also known by the nickname “Peg Leg Piit,” was a female Weequay member of Hondo Ohnaka’s pirate gang during the Clone Wars.
“Peg Leg” Piit was nicknamed for her purple peg leg in place of her missing right leg. In 22 BBY, she assisted with the capture of Count Dooku and the drugging of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, two Jedi who came to claim the Sith Lord.
Two years later, Piit was one the pirates that assisted Hondo during the hijacking onboard the Crucible. She shot at, Professor Huyang, but was knocked unconscious. She was serving drinks to two pirates when General Grievous and his forces stormed the base, and shot dead the pirates she was standing next to. She later fought in a skirmish after half of Hondo’s pirates join Darth Maul and Savage Opress in their conquest for power. She utilized a blaster pistol during the fight and killed several pirates before being forced to retreat into the ruins of the base with Ohnaka and the rest of his forces, as well as Obi-Wan Kenobi, after Adi Gallia was slain by Opress. She survived the battle and helped to salvage valuables from the Nightbrothers’ destroyed starship.
