Background: The Corellian Acklay-type Light Freighter went into production during the Clone Wars. Originally viewed as an unarmed transport the Freighter was produced with a strong shield generator for defense and included an advanced sensor array system to avoid danger.
After the Clone Wars most of the Corellian Acklay-type Light Freighters were sold to civilians and were popular along the major hyperspace routes while it’s larger sister ship the Thranta-class corvette replaced it as a diplomatic courier.
Most civilian models saw weapon upgrades to the ship including two forward Laser Cannons, a top twin laser turrent and two rear twin laser turrents on the port and starboard sides of the engines.
