Background: Davits Draven, registered under 45 BBY, hails from Pendarr III. During the Clone Wars, he served as part of the Galactic Republic’s Military Intelligence team, working alongside the Republic’s greatest strategists, fleet commanders, and officers. Although he never had the opportunity to meet the Jedi Generals who commanded the Clone Army, his dedication to preventing the Empire from gaining too much power drove him to join the Alliance to Restore the Republic, even before it was officially formed.

Draven’s impressive skills and expertise in the field earned him the respect and trust of Senator Mon Mothma, who was working to unite various rebel cells under a single banner. He was trained as a field operative by Airen Cracken and became the case officer for Cassian Jeron Andor after he was recruited into the Rebellion.

Draven’s surgical strikes against the Empire before the start of the Galactic Civil War secured the necessary, but often unglamorous victories that propelled the Alliance forward. His no-nonsense attitude and pragmatic views earned him the position of a general and the leading Rebel Alliance Intelligence Service officer on Yavin 4 in Cracken’s absence. In Alliance High Command meetings, Draven’s blunt speech and confidence in making unpopular and difficult decisions often brought discussions to a halt. But his unwavering dedication to the cause and impressive track record made him a trusted officer and earned him Mon Mothma’s respect.

A person named Draven collected information on resistance factions across the galaxy and shared a summary with Mon Mothma. Mon Mothma instructed Draven to contact criminal organizations and other factions to gauge their willingness to ally with the Rebel alliance. Cassian Jeron Andor was tasked with this mission and reported that the Bounty Hunters’ Guild was unlikely to team up with the Rebels due to the Empire’s deep pockets. Draven suggested contacting the Mining Guild instead. Another time, Andor approached Draven about a mission to Wecacoe to retrieve Imperial security protocols from a captured warship. Draven recommended that Kertas and Rismor join Andor on the mission.

In another operation Draven led, called Operation Fracture, he worked to uncover Galen Walton Erso’s involvement with the Empire’s Death Star project. Despite some in the Rebel council dismissing the reports of the superweapon as a ploy, Draven believed in its existence due to his experience with the Empire. He reported to Cracken about Bodhi Rook’s defection and information related to the superweapon. Draven requested permission to have an undercover agent hack into Arakyd Industries’ data node to confirm the information. When the mission was successful, Draven shared the details with Cracken. Draven also received a report from Haxen Delto speculating a connection between Geonosis and the superweapon. He forwarded a report about the security droid K-2SO to Mon Mothma and was directed by her and Cracken to investigate possible supply lines, laborers, and orbital construction sites related to the superweapon.

Draven oversaw the rescue of Galen’s daughter, Jyn Erso, to help with the mission. He had Ruescott Melshi put together a plan for breaking her out of an Imperial labor camp which Draven then forwarded to Mon Mothma. Meeting and speaking with her, Draven was not impressed with her defiance. After the briefing, he sent a notice to Mon Mothma strongly urging that she reconsider involving Erso in the mission. In Draven’s mind, Erso was a Rebel deserter and a criminal who showed no loyalty to anyone except herself. Mothma overruled him, arguing that, besides them needing her to identify her father, Jyn Erso was much like other Rebels who had lost their way and deserved a second chance. He put together a mission and team for assaulting Saw Gerrera’s fortress in case Jyn Erso was unable to get the job done. Nonetheless, he ordered Captain Cassian Jeron Andor to kill Galen Erso if he had the opportunity, countermanding his initial orders to extract the Imperial scientist for questioning.

As Operation Fracture got underway, Draven received a communication from Andor confirming the Destruction of Jedha City by the Death Star. The general reinforced the need to kill Erso, and sent a squadron of starfighters to his location on Eadu with assassination orders. However, Andor called in to inform Draven that Alliance operatives would be caught in the line of fire, but by that time the fighters were already engaged. The strike led to Erso’s death, and Andor’s team returned to Yavin 4. There, Jyn rallied the rebel council, and her Rogue One squad led a mission to Scarif to obtain the Death Star plans.

Following the Battle of Yavin and the assault on Sunspot Prison, Draven was placed in charge of the interrogation of Grakkus the Hutt after Alliance forces intercepted his prison transport vessel. Smuggler and rebel ally Han Solo was recruited to transport Grakkus, and it was Solo who suggested that instead of a typical interrogation, they trick the Hutt into revealing his power base. Draven communicated over the radio to inform Solo and his first mate Chewbacca that they were sending X-wings to investigate the base on Teth.

Later, he was present at the Mako-Ta Space Docks, and was part of high-level briefings. He was critical of Leia Organa’s plan to free King Lee-Char. During the Assault on the Mako-Ta Space Docks, Draven and other rebel forces accompanied Organa to sneak aboard the Executor in order to steal codes that disabled their rebel fleet. Organa was able to escape, while Draven and the other rebels held Darth Vader and Imperial forces back. After all the rebels were killed, Draven was killed by Vader when his neck was snapped through the ways of the Force.
