Background: Corellian Shipyard Workers were employed by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, abbreviated CEC. Corellian Shipyard Workers built a variety of starships, including several models of freighters, such as the YV-666 light freighter, the YT-1300 light freighter, the VCX-100 light freighter, the VCX-150 freighter, and the Baleen-class heavy freighter. Other ships of note included the Gozanti-class cruiser and its C-ROC variant, the CR90 corvette, the interstellar trash hauler, the Consular-class space cruiser, and the G9 Rigger-class light freighter.
Aside from ships, Corellian Shipyard Workers also built masking transponders, weapons systems like the AG-2G quad laser cannon, escape pods such as the Model CEC Class-1, and ion engines like the 3900hh or the 5900hh.
Han Solo’s father was one of the tens of thousands of Corellian Shipyard Workers employed by the Corellian Engineering Corporation.
Corellian Engineering Corporation was one of the starship manufacturers hired by the New Republic to dismantle the Imperial Navy Fleet in 9 ABY. CEC rehired many ex-Imperials to work in the shipyard, and many were involved in a plot to sell major starship parts to the Imperial Remnant. The CEC would remain loyal to the Imperial Remnant, join the First Order in 34 ABY, and supply vast quantities of starship materials to help build the First Order Fleet.
