Background: Boles Roor, the renowned male Sneevel from planet Sneeve, was a fearless and skilled Podracer who fearlessly raced without protective clothing. He expertly piloted the Bin Gassi Racing Engines Quadrijet 4-Barrel 904E pod, which boasted impressive speeds of up to 790 km/h. Roor was a beloved fan favorite at the Zugga Challenge on the planet Mon Gazza, and his two-time victory at the prestigious Boonta Eve Classic on Tatooine spoke volumes about his exceptional talent. Although some critics expressed doubts, he proved them wrong with his daring and remarkable performances.
Apart from his racing career, Roor was also a talented glimmik singer and had an extremely successful career. He performed on stage either naked or casually dressed but always wore full clothing while racing. To ensure his pod was in top condition, he hired a crew of Ishi Tibs to perform maintenance tasks while he focused on singing, as well as a chief mechanic, Shrivel Braittrand, a Kulless. Despite their best efforts, Roor’s pod faced a few issues like failed combustion chambers and poor-quality welding.
After a brief hiatus from the Podracing circuit, Roor made a triumphant return, eager to compete in the Boonta Eve Classic of 32 BBY. However, his skills had grown rusty over time, and his outdated pod was no match for the newer, more advanced models. During a talk show, Roor boldly taunted the rookie Toong pilot Ben Quadinaros, who surprisingly accepted his challenge to race. Roor dedicated his first song to Quadinaros during his glimmik show on the night before the race.
In the race, Roor finished in sixth place with an average speed of 781 km/h. His rival, Sebulba, did not finish the race, and the victory went to Anakin Skywalker. Although disappointed to see Quadinaros in the eighteenth starting block, Quadinaros’s pod was sabotaged and he never advanced past the starting block, winning his bet with Roor nonetheless. Undeterred by his losses, Roor focused on his glimmik career and gave his pod to his chief mechanic to modify and use in further competitions.
Ten years later, Roor had become a true legend on his homeworld of Sneeve. He came out of retirement to support Senator Jollin Resbin of Sneeve during the Separatist Crisis. Roor appeared in holographic endorsements and ran in charity races to spread Resbin’s message. He was scheduled to run in the Dasoor Challenge on the same day as the final vote on the Military Creation Act, a testament to his unwavering courage and unyielding determination.
