Background: Horo Janrav was once a respected engineer from a prominent Core World during the High Republic era. Known for his brilliance in cybernetic enhancements and droid programming, Horo’s career took a dark turn when he became obsessed with pushing the boundaries of technology beyond ethical limits. Driven by ambition and a desire for recognition, Horo delved into illegal cybernetic experimentation, violating Republic laws and ethical guidelines. His experiments led to the deaths of several test subjects and the irreversible mutilation of others, earning him the title of a cybernetic convict. Convicted of crimes against sentient life, Varnac was sentenced to life imprisonment. During the escape aboard the prison transport Palick, Horo manages to disable the pilot droids who control the ship and escape aboard an escape pod with other prisoners.
Horo Jamrav is a portly, pale-skinned humanoid male with a bald head. His body is adorned with visible cybernetic implants and enhancements, stark reminders of his expertise and his crimes. Despite his physical condition, Varnac maintains an air of quiet intelligence and a calculating demeanor. Despite his incarceration, Horo’s genius remains intact. He continues to tinker with cybernetic enhancements, often trading his skills with other prisoners for favors and information.
