Background: Holobooks were an ancient, self-contained data storage technology that required only small amounts of energy and took the form of slim, crystalline boards emitting a blueish glow. They were user-friendly and offered many modes of interaction.
A few of the holobooks from the Great Jedi Library of Ossus were evacuated and held in the Jedi Archives on Coruscant. The Jedi Archives contained many holobooks, alongside standard data-tapes and rare holocrons.
