Background: Wade was a human who lived on the planet Janix during the Imperial Era, where he served as an officer in the Janix Civil Defense’s tactical force. His role with the force involved monitoring the local tipline. During the police hunt for the crime lord Maul, Wade received a tip from an individual named “Uncle Daki” that was specifically addressed to his colleague, Detective Captain Brander Lawson. When he brought the report to the captain, Lawson initially dismissed it, but when Wade mentioned the name and remarked that he did not know Lawson had an uncle, Lawson immediately viewed the report, thrusting his cup of caf into Wade’s arms. Unbeknownst to Wade, Daki was connected to a hostage whom Lawson had witnessed Maul capture. Asking Wade where the location was, the officer replied that it was Sector 14-Q.
Lawson, knowing the report was legitimate, immediately ran to find Chief Klyce. Wade quickly followed after placing Lawson’s caf down. Wade stood behind Lawson as he requested that Klyce approve a strike team to close in on Maul. Klyce nodded and urged Lawson to succeed in his effort. With the chief’s approval, Lawson ordered Wade to ready squads. He immediately complied and instructed a pair of officers to move into position for preparations. After sending a few officers through the door, he motioned to another duo and hustled out of the room.
After noticing Two-Boots walked past Lieutenant Blake, Wade asked him if he had been acting stranger than usual. Two-Boots responded that the Imperials were acting out of protocol and insisted on speaking with Chief Klyce. Wade reveals that Klyce is dead, which surprises Two-Boots, and says that standard protocol is for the chief to be suspended while under investigation. Wade counters that the Imperials were never going to hold an investigation.
