Background: Latero, also known as Lateron, were a sentient species from the planet Lateron that possessed four arms and had a keen sense of smell. Marino Pomana was a member of the species who worked as a chef on the planet Begamor. Greez Dritus, the captain of the S-161 “Stinger” XL Stinger Mantis, was a Latero. The company Latero Spaceworks, creator of the S-161 “Stinger” XL, shared its name with the species. At least one Latero was a Jedi during the Republic Era.
