Background: IG-12 was a repurposed mech created by a crew of Anzellan droidsmiths from the parts of the assassin droid IG-11. It was gifted by High Magistrate Greef Karga to Grogu, despite Din Djarin’s reluctance, who thought Grogu was too young to operate heavy machinery. The mech was used by Grogu on the Mandalorians’ attempt to retake their homeworld of Mandalore.
