Background: Taanti was a Weequay male proprietor that worked as a bartender at a cantina in Freetown. He worked in the bar during the Battle of Endor and still did years after. At one point, he served spotchka to Cobb Vanth, the marshal of the town, and to the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, who had come searching for Vanth.
In 9 ABY, Taanti was involved in the defense of Mod Espa alongside several members of Freetown. Taati carried a cycler rifle to the battle and at one point manned a VC-35 mounted laser.
