Background: Tusken Raiders, less formally referred to as Sand People or simply as Tuskens, were a culture of nomadic, primitive sentients indigenous to the desert planet Tatooine, where they were often hostile to local settlers.
Tuskan Raider Reavers were the primary soldiers of the Tusken Tribe. They guarded the camp, raided settlements, and protected the food stores. Several Tuskan Raider Reavers took part in the hunt of a Great Krayt Dragon in 9 ABY.
A young Tusken Reaver took Boba Fett and a Rodian captive out into the Dune Sea in search of Water Gourds. While digging for gourds they uncovered a Sand Lizard and were attacked. Boba Fett strangled the creature and aided the young Tusken in bringing back the head of the creature as a rite of passage and acceptance into the tribe.
