Background: R6 astromechs were a series of astromech droids. Much like the R5 series, the R6’s head was shaped like a conical frustum, but its eye piece more closely resembled that of the R2 series.
The R6 series existed by the time of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance. At least one R6 unit was part of the Hissrich droid unit. The R6 series was later used by the Resistance in starfighters such as the T-70 X-wing.
