Background: Captain Lushros Dofine and other bridge crew members originally served the Trade Federation onboard the Invisible Hand when Viceroy Nute Gunray owned the dreadnought. After General Grievous demanded command of the ship, the bridge crew, including Dofine, were allowed to stay, though droids now assisted them. Under Grievous’s command, the Invisible Hand served as the flagship of the Confederacy navy and fought in many battles during the Clone Wars. In 19 BBY, the captain was still in command of the Invisible Hand during the Battle of Coruscant.

After Grievous kidnapped the head of the Galactic Republic, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi boarded the ship to rescue him. Grievous entered the bridge and requested a status update from the caption, who informed Grievous they were tracking the Jedi as the two made their way down the halls. As a Venator-class Star Destroyer, the Guarlara came alongside the Invisible Hand, Dofine ordered all batteries to open fire on the Republic ship. As the two ships shot at each other, the artificial gravity of the Invisible Hand was damaged and the ship began falling towards Coruscant. As the ship fell, Dofine ordered the battle droids to magnetize in order to prevent them from flying around. The Invisible Hand eventually stopped falling, leveling itself out, and repaired its artificial gravity.

When Kenobi and Skywalker rescued Palpatine, they were trapped in a ray shield and brought before Grievous on the bridge along with their astromech droid R2-D2. The captain watched as Grievous and the Jedi exchanged insults before R2-D2 broke the handcuffs restricting Skywalker’s arms, who in turn freed Kenobi. Grievous ordered his MagnaGuards to kill the Jedi, but they could defeat them easily. As the two confronted Grievous, the General broke a front window with an Electrostaff, letting himself be sucked out of it to escape. As the window’s safety shutter covered broken Transparisteel, the captain, along with other neimoidian crew members, fled the bridge to the Escape pods.
