Background: Gale Torg also known as Galen Torg was a human male sergeant assigned to guard and escort senators and dignitaries who visited the Alliance to Restore the Republic’s headquarters in the Great Temple on Yavin 4. He carried a DH-17 blaster pistol and wore the uniform of Alderaanian consular security, which featured a service helmet with flash visor and integral comlink and a multi-pocketed spacer vest of Corellian cut.

In 0 BBY, the Alliance managed to destroy the Galactic Empire’s planet-killing superweapon, the Death Star, in the Yavin system. During the ceremony held to honor the Heroes of Yavin at the Great Temple, Torg served as a Rebel Honor Guard, standing in front of the audience room’s entrance.
