Background: Electromines or electro-mines were demolition devices that were electrified. The Citadel prison on Lola Sayu had its exterior walls armed with electromines to prevent the wall from being scaled. During the Clone Wars, when the Galactic Republic sent a rescue squadron to extract the prisoner Even Piell, the clone trooper nicknamed “Charger” fell from the prison wall and hit an electromine—killing him—causing an explosion that alerted the prison to the Republic’s presence.
