Game Notes: The Clone Mortor has a small repulsor lift equipped tripod to reduce its weight. It’s designed to fire frag grenades, though it can fire other types as well.
Background: The Clone mortar was a long range weapon used by the Grand Army of the Republic. Its function was to drop explosive projectiles on enemies at a large distance. During the Battle of Umbara, the 501st Legion used the weapon to attack what they believed to be native Umbarans, but they later realized that they had been tricked into attacking their own men from the 212th Attack Battalion.
