Background: Cail-tan was a human who served in the New Republic as an X-wing starfighter pilot. During the New Republic Era, the astronomer Kh’ymm contacted the New Republic on behalf of a group of younglings requesting help from pirates that had invaded their home planet At Attin. Their squadron of eight T-65 X-wing starfighters was deployed along with two A/SF-01 B-wing starfighters and a CR90 Corvette to repeal the pirates.
Commander Kent instructed the squadron to lock their S-foils in attack positions as they approached the planet and the pirate frigate. Cail-tan further set their fighter’s deflector shield to double forward. Afterward, the squadron began their attack on the pirate frigate. The squadron eventually destroyed the frigate, which crashed into the city below.
