Background: Disposable patches of bacta used to heal skin punctures. Though not as effective as a complete immersion in a bacta tank, they were much easier to transport and a quick and convenient medical healer. They were also helpful when trying to keep a patient with more severe injuries stable until he or she could reach a bacta tank. Bacta patches could have appeared and acted similar to a bandage but slightly larger and with a faster healing process.
