In 1 BBY, Thobel took part in the firing sequence when the Death Star fired on Jedha City and destroyed it during the first test of the station’s superlaser. He also took part in the firing sequence when the Death Star fired on the Citadel Tower on Scarif in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the Alliance to Restore the Republic from stealing the Death Star’s plans.
