Background: The ou’tranoi was a spherical sacred vase said to be used by the shamans of Golus Pheyar to collect the souls of their enemies. It was held in the Antiquities Institute of the Tion Hegemony until it was stolen by Hylobon mercenaries in 11 BBY. Imperial Security Bureau Agent Andressa Divo suspected Crimson Dawn Capo Dryden Vos of being involved in the theft, and the vase had indeed ended up in his personal study on board the yacht First Light by 10 BBY.
The ou’tranoi was believed to have been used by the shamans of the Golus Pheyar to collect the souls of their enemies. By the reign of the Galactic Empire, the vase was held by the Antiquities Institute of the Tion Hegemony; however, prior to or during 11 BBY the vase was stolen from the institute by Hylobon mercenaries.
The thieves were caught on holographic security footage, which was reviewed by the Imperial Security Bureau. Bureau Agent Andressa Divo added the case to a file she maintained on historical artifact thefts that she suspected had been orchestrated by the criminal Crimson Dawn Capo Dryden Vos, who was known to keep a collection of artifacts in his personal study on board the yacht First Light. Vos was known to regularly use Hylobon Enforcers, strengthening his ties to the ou’tranoi theft.
By 10 BBY, the ou’tranoi had indeed made its way to Vos’s personal study on the First Light, where the capo displayed it on a stand next to a variety of other artifacts, including the Dancing Goddess idol of the Godoan species and the mummified hand of the Lost King of Duro. When Vos fought with his lieutenant Qi’ra and the smuggler Han Solo in his study in 10 BBY, several of the artifacts were damaged or destroyed, including the Dancing Goddess idol, which shattered, spraying shards of crystal across the other objects around it. Qi’ra ultimately killed Vos and took ownership of the First Light, along with the artifacts remaining aboard it.
