Wow, what a great series Kenobi turned out to be. I hope you all were able to enjoy it as much as I did. Regardless, it brought about a lot when it comes to the complete Star Wars Saga. It was a lot of fun to put together the Obi-Wan Kenobi Source Guide and to dive into all the new characters and to revisit some old ones. We will release Part VI of OWK this Sunday so stay tuned for that. A few stray observations for the series and I’ll leave you all to take it in yourselves.
Gunslinger Beru? How many Stormtroopers did she take out before they finished her and Owen off? She straight up was ready for war.
Leia has an insane amount of character development between Part I and Part VI. She became Princess Leia before our eyes.
Obi-Wan’s journey was perfect. He pulled himself up to be the hero once again, faced Anakin and left the Master. Loved it!
The Path, it was a old Legends story that is now canon. For Roleplayers, now we know that the Jedi spread out far and wide, likely throughout the Outer Rim. This should be great for story writers and roleplayers going forward.
The Empire, you can see that they are not as strong as they appear to be, it is all about looks. It has less control than one would imagine. It is why they had to build the Death Star, because until then they really were not in full control, the Senate was.
Overall I really enjoyed the series, it wasn’t perfect but I liked it.
A few house keeping things for the website, we have updated a few of the stats for characters that were in Kenobi. Be sure to check that out if you are using any of those stats in future campaigns.
We are continuing The Clone Wars Series each Friday with a new episode posted to The Clone Wars Source Guide. We are getting ready to start season three and some of the main characters will get updated stats as the characters have grown. In between episodes until Andor and The Bad Batch premiere I’ll be adding in stats for The Phantom Menace to add to that film’s Source Guide. TCW Source Guide is on pace to finish in 2024 and TPM Source Guide is on track to finish in December.
Additionally we have been playing Star Wars The Old Republic over on the Twitch Channel as well as a few other games. If interested please follow so I know you want to see more content. If I get some regulars I’ll schedule play times.
