Background: Motts were a mammalian species of stubby-legged quadrupeds with thick skin, sharp claws, and small horns on their snouts. They had a high reproduction rate, with 15 young per litter. They were herbivores that fed on swamp vegetation. Despite being herbivores, some motts could display aggressive behavior. They used their horns for defense, mating disputes, and rooting in the mud for food.
