Background: Melna was a Theelin female who worked as a dancer at a dance club on Port Borgo. After spotting a group of children outside the club, she became concerned for their safety in the pirate-infested port and followed after some of them, stopping the children Fern and KB to try and aid them.
When the girls claimed to be from the mythical planet At Attin, Melna did not believe them and assumed they were lying while on the run. She tried to drag them with her and find them transport, but eventually the girls separated from the Theelin in order to help the other two children, Wim and Neel, who were being chased by pirates.
