Background: JO9-4MN was a boxy, primitive model of power droid manufactured by Veril Line Systems that the Trade Federation repurposed to act as a repair droid and foreman on the WD-2550 Whydah-class Yield Conveyer Fallon. It was responsible for assigning work and monitoring billable work hours, and maintained an active telemetric diagnostic link to each of the spacesuits used by the starship’s mechanics.

In 132 BBY, it passed by the mekneks Verosha Aniseya and Fillik outside Aniseya’s bunk in one of the corridors on the Fallon as they headed to the ship’s exterior to make shield generator repairs. JO9-4MN had gray plating with yellow lining and a blue photoreceptor, with a primary sensor cluster on its side. The droid’s two feet were gravity-adjusted.
