Background: The Halaisi were a sentient species in the galaxy. Humanoid in shape with a build similar to that of humans, they had golden skin and eyes, and four limbs with five-fingered hands. Their eyelids and lips could be blue, and they could have black eyebrows. It was possible for Halaisi to be Force-sensitive.
Rig Nema, a Halaisi from Halais, was a member of the Jedi Order and a doctor during the final years of the Republic Era. She examined Grand Master Yoda in 19 BBY after other members of the Jedi High Council were concerned about his health.
