Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures
Disney is releasing their new kid focused High Republic series offering Young Jedi Adventures. This series follows the heros of The High Republic in their padawan days. It is targeted towards pre-school through grade school kids so it is unlikely to turn any heads.
Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures hits Disney+ in Spring, 2023.
Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2
The animated anthology series returns with nine anime short films produced by seven Japanese animation studios. The non-canon series gives studios a lot of freedom to interpret and express Star Wars lore.
Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2 is expected to premire early 2023 on Disney+.
Star Wars: Ahsoka
Rosario Dawson returns as the fan-favorite Ahsoka, the Jedi Padawan who trained under Anakin Skywaker and who left the order prior to the end of the Clone Wars. She was fundamental in the Rebellion in the early days of the Galactic Civil War. Set to premiere in live action for the first time are Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Chopper who previously appeared in animated form in Star Wars Rebels. Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker or Darth Vader during the series. One of the theories on the series is that Thrawn will make his first live action appearance and we will find out what Ezra Bridger has been up to in the Unknown Regions.
Ahsoka is expected to premiere late in 2023 on Disney+.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
Star Wars meets Stranger Things? We don’t have a lot of information yet on Skeleton Crew but we do know that it will be a coming-of-age story about a group of kids lost in space five years after the Battle of Endor and the story of their journey trying to find their way home. It will have a young cast but it will not be a kids show.
Star Wars Skeleton Crew is set to appear on Disney+ sometime in 2023.
