Background: Hylobons were a bipedal species possessing two arms and two legs, with each arm ending in a five-fingered hand. Their faces were wrinkled, with prominent brow ridges and flat faces. They had small, forward-facing eyes with dark irises within their eyes. The species had thin lips, yellowed teeth with incisors, and two narrow nostril slits instead of a protruding nose. Their skin was a pale tan color. Hylobons were capable of growing facial hair, including orange beards and mustaches, though facial fur was otherwise sparse outside these areas.
Hylobons hailed form the Hylobi system, located in the Taldot sector of the Mid Rim Territories The species was present within the wider galaxy by at least 12 BBY.
