While Skeleton Crew was originally set to premiere on December 3, 2024, Lucasfilm recently adjusted its release date. Premiering a day earlier, the series will release its first two episodes on December 2, 2024, also in select theaters nationwide. The show will release a brand new episode every Tuesday on Disney+.
Skeleton Crew will have eight episodes overall and will be a brand new Star Wars adventure inspired by early Amblin Entertainment films—like The Goonies. The show will also take place before the rise of the First Order and will feature kids getting lost in the galaxy as they come across a charming Force user who agrees to help them.
Jon Watts and Christopher Ford created the show, which will star Jude Law, Kerry Condon, Nick Frost, and others.
What time will the first two episodes of Skeleton Crew premiere?
The first two episodes of Skeleton Crew will premiere on Disney+ at 6 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time).
Where to watch Skeleton Crew?
The series will be available exclusively on Disney+ in whichever region the streaming service is available. However, fans will require a valid subscription to Disney+, or the show will not be available to them.
Viewers with a Disney+ subscription can watch the show at no further cost.

What is Skeleton Crew about?
Writers Jon Watts and Christopher Ford created the upcoming Jude Law-led Star Wars series. The series will take place between the events of Star Wars: Episode VI—Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens. It will see a bunch of kids getting lost in the galaxy as they come across a charming Force user who can help them get back home.
The official Star Wars logline of the show reads:
“Skeleton Crew follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy, crossing paths with the mysterious character Jod Na Nawood, played by Law. Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”
The Star Wars series will have eight episodes, with a new episode premiering weekly with the SWRPGGM episode guide and stats released the following Wednesday. It takes about a week to assemble everything we catch in the series and put it in the game’s Star Wars D6 terms.
Will SWRPGGM create a PDF of the series?
Like all of our source guides, we plan to eventually publish them as PDF books, but not currently. This is largely due to the time it takes to publish something of that magnitude. If someone comes forward who wants to work with us for such an endeavor, then that would speed up the process.
Will there be a season 2 of Skeleton Crew?
We don’t know at this time; it will largely depend on the story and whether it is a one-off series. Even if there isn’t a second season, there is the opportunity to use these characters in the future of Star Wars. The series was first filmed in 2022, two years before its release. This allows Lucasfilm to use the actors as they have grown up more. Fingers crossed on that question.
Will fans like or dislike Skeleton Crew?
As always, some will push negative reactions to the fullest to gain views and clicks. I highly suggest you watch for yourself and not look for others’ reactions until you decide for yourself. As a writer for Star Wars media myself, I find it a large sandbox of ideas and stories that is open to many different threads to be weaved. Skeleton Crew looks to be a fun adventure with a targeted demographic of pre-teens. Ignore the nerf herders and just enjoy the ride.
