Background: Rebel Alliance technicians, also known as Rebel technicians, or ground tech, were part of the Alliance to Restore the Republic’s support staff. They were employed to look after technical equipment such as starfighters and the droids. They also operated the personnel carriers, which they nicknamed “chariots.” They wore light tan or light gray uniforms and a variant of the standard Alliance service helmet with a comlink but no visor. Though they usually did not fight on the front lines, technicians were trained for combat and could fight if necessary.
