Nal Hutta — Corellian Engineering Corporation has signed a cooperation agreement with the Hutts to produce 16 large container vessels worth more than 21 billion credits.
It sets a new record for a single order with the most significant amount of money for container ship production signed by Corellia’s shipbuilding industry since the fall of the Galactic Empire. It includes 12 150,000 metric tons large container ships powered mainly by coaxium and four 230,000 metric tons fueled mainly by rhydonium.
Each of the coaxium-powered ships measures 800 meters in length and 150 meters in width and is designed to have the ability to carry 150,000 tonnes of cargo internally, said the CEC representative.
It is also the CEC’s first order to produce such rhydonium-fuelled container ships. Independently developed, the vessel can achieve net x1 hyperspeed during its whole voyage.
