Background: The Eye of Sion was a large starship constructed by remnants of the Galactic Empire under the supervision of the witch Morgan Elsbeth, intending to reach and rescue Grand Admiral-in-exile Mitth’raw’nuruodo from another galaxy.

The Eye of Sion was a massive circular starship, 1280 meters in diameter, intended to carry personnel on extragalactic journeys. It consisted of three clusters of hyperdrive engines on the port, starboard and ventral positions, and a gold-colored bridge on the top. The port and starboard hyperdrive clusters were equipped with three Super Star Destroyer hyperdrive cores, salvaged in secret from Morgan Elsbeth’s New Republic-occupied Corellian shipyards, while the ventral cluster only had one. The bridge was staffed by HK-87 assassin droids and carried an unusual holoprojector system that used floating particles to form the holograms. It was also equipped with two navigation screens and a large forward viewport. The center of the ring was large enough, at 220 meters, to dock an Imperial-Class Star Destroyer.

Built in secrecy over Seatos, the planet where Elsbeth believed the Pathway to Peridea towards the galaxy where Thrawn was located began. By 9 ABY, construction was nearly complete, and the final hyperdrive core was installed on the ventral cluster by transport CT-O5, which narrowly escaped an inspection of the shipyards by New Republic General Hera Syndulla and former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, who nevertheless managed to plant a homing beacon on it and track it to the Eye.
